It is imperative that the results of the design process meet the needs of the client. We like to spend some time with the client to determine precisely what those needs are, before spending any time on design. We do not try to impose our aesthetic on a project. Rather, we try to discover the look that fits the project.
In Tandem Design, Inc., can help you with projects from concept through production. Our primary involvement is with print media projects. However, we are involved with many different media.
Some projects require a significant amount of development time. Others must be completed quickly. We might provide many alternative designs and presentations, or send an Acrobat® document for immediate approval, depending on the project needs and schedule.

Combining Print Media with CD-ROM
Since our name is derived from design and technology working in tandem, we can provide technical solutions with design.
For several clients, we have repurposed their print-media sell sheets and technical specification sheets into digital documents that can be distributed on CD-ROM. We have then designed the printed inserts and/or packaging in which the CD-ROMs are distributed. In some cases, the information distributed is in Acrobat® format, for ease of viewing on a computer. In other cases, the documents are distributed in formats suitable for high-resolution imaging to film or plates for printing. No matter where the documents go, they can be reproduced properly.
Integrating Web and Print Media
We can even make the Web and print-media work in tandem.
For a Builder, we have coordinated the functions of ordering custom print materials over the Web with choices of renderings, floor plans, and elevations. A database of graphics can be searched on the Web. The high resolution print files are catalogued at In Tandem Design, Inc. An order for a brochure is submitted via the Web, we assemble it according to choices made on the Web form, we marry high res graphics, floor plans and elevations to the layout, and produce the finished brochure. It is then proofed on a digital proofer and sent to the client, or made into an Acrobat® document and sent electronically. Finally, it is printed by a central printer or digital files are sent to a printer local to the developer.
The process is used by the builder for displays in model homes, as well.
