Staff Directory MARYLAND’S Tallship, PRIDE II, is managed by the non-profit organization, Pride, Inc., whose staff is headquartered in the Baltimore World Trade Center, 401 E. Pratt St., Suite 222, Baltimore, MD 21202. Executive Director, Linda Christenson, Esq. is an environmental attorney who has served as the CEO of trade organizations and non-profits for the past 13 years. Prior to leading non-profits, she was a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of the Environmental & Natural Resources Section of Kilpatrick & Stockton, an international law firm, as well as former Director of Federal Government Affairs for Coors Brewing, Co. Ms. Christenson served on the U.S. Department of Energy’s Environmental Management Advisory Board regarding closure and cleanup of the Department of Energy’s Nuclear Weapons Laboratories. From 1995-1997, Christenson also served as a U.S. Representative for NAFTA’s Environmental Quality Task Force. She has been at the helm of Pride, Inc. since January 2002. Development Manager, Janet Caslow, manages the corporate development for the Pride, Inc. Janet has over 20 years in managing sales and development and spent the last 9 years working with not-for-profit organizations. She is a native of Maryland having spent her entire career in the Baltimore area; she also grew up sailing and racing on the upper Bay. Janet holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. Director of Public Relations & Marketing, Missy Berger manages Pride, Inc.'s media relations, announcements, editorial placement, and marketing activities. She has 10 years of experience in marketing and communications for private businesses and publicly traded companies. She holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Richmond. Executive Administrative Assistant, Jane Wilcoxson is Pride, Inc.’s office and vessel administrator. Jane coordinates Pride’s individual membership program and daysail passengers, manages grant requests, and assists in planning and coordinating fundraising events. Captain Jan Miles is a licensed ship’s master who
has been with the organization for more than 25 years. He has been awarded
numerous honors for his sailing expertise. He oversees a crew of 11
professional sailors - men and women - who sign on for six month contracts to
sail aboard Pride of Baltimore II. |
