Arriving in a New Land

E. Sachse, & Co.'s Bird's Eye View of the City of Baltimore, 1869/ Collection of the Library of Congress

We finally arrived in a new land. When they took us off
the ship, I didn't think I would be able to walk. I was very weak. I had
never seen anything like this place. The buildings were very tall -
taller than any I had ever seen before. And there were men on horseback.
This place was called Baltimore. See if you can find where our ship
landed on this map that the Captain used.
