As the countries of Europe talk to each other about unification, they have tried to decide on some common solutions to problems such as health care, energy, cultural diversity and caring for the environment. How do the environmental policies of countries being visited by Pride compare to one another and to the policies of the European Union?

Pollution. Acid Rain. Toxic Waste. Global Warming.

These are few of the environmental issues that the Member States are already facing individually. How are their environmental policies similar? What are the major differences? As Europe moves toward unification, one policy on the environment will need to be adopted and enforced within the Union. Protecting the environment is important, but exactly how and what should it be protected, and at what cost? Visit the sites listed below to compare and contrast environmental issues and policies within the European community.
