In reviewing the titles and descriptions of the 15 lesson Asia with PRIDE curriculum, you will quickly see that many lessons lend themselves well to team teaching, particularly at the middle school level. A single lesson can become the team's theme for a week or more. For instance, Lesson #7, "Life in the Ocean," is basically a science lesson with a strong emphasis on the biology of the food chain. It's also a geography lesson since it will trace the differences in aquatic life in different parts of the ocean. And it can be a language arts lesson as students write up their findings in news articles. Thus Asia with PRIDE can become a catalyst for creative and productive partnerships among the instructional staff. Look for ways to share among your colleagues. You, your students, and your fellow teachers will be richly rewarded.
