The commitment to this policy applies uniformly to all levels of administration.
CIT ProgramThe Counselor-In-Training program is to train prospective camp staff members. Scouts 14 years of age by June 1, with summer camp experience, and who are looking forward to serving on camp staff in the future, may apply for a place on the CIT Corps. The CIT Program will challenge you to learn the skills to be a quality camp staff member. Under the direction of the Program Director, you will be trained in camp counseling, Scoutcraft skills, how to teach and present skills, troop duties, and the personal qualities required to be a successful staff member. The CIT will serve for at least a two week period with an evaluation being made after each week. While there is no guarantee, participating Scouts can use this opportunity to develop and demonstrate those qualities sought after in future camp staff members.
