First Year Camper Program

New Scouts can register in the First Year Camper program. First year campers from all the troops in camp are joined together to learn basic Scout camping skills, some of which include requirements for Tenderfoot Scout. They will have the opportunity to complete a couple merit badges as well.

The camp staff runs this program, and the Scouts attending are involved for much of the program time each day.

Unit leaders should make sure that Scouts who wish to attend this program are registered for it at check-in. This is a great way to ensure that a Scout's first week at camp is a great week at camp!
