Camp Oest Open House for Cub Scout Leaders

The Camp Oest staff is very pleased to invite Cub Scout leaders and their families to visit the open house to acquaint leaders with the summer Cub Scout Resident Camp. The Oest staff will have a model campsite set up along with several program areas. Several areas will be set for Cub Scouts to participate in; Archery, the nature trail, volleyball and a camp tour will be the highlight for the afternoon. The kitchen staff will be hosting a cookout featuring hot dogs and hamburgers, along with all the fixins!

This open house event is being conducted to let leaders and parents know about the summer camp opportunities for Cub Scout resident camping. Our key department directors will be on hand to talk with Cub Scouts, Webelos and adults, answering questions and helping with scheduling.

About the middle of March, we will be mailing out individual invitations to Cub Scout leaders for an RSVP. We look forward to seeing you at our open house. We request that we have your reservation, so we may purchase the proper quantities of food. Please contact the SSSC to make reservations.

Parents & Adult Supervision

Camp Oest welcomes moms and dads to attend our Cub Camp with their sons. The fee for a parent is just $100 for the three-day sessions or $160 for the week-long session. This will give parents a great opportunity to spend some time with their children. If a parent is not available, maybe a guardian or relative over 18 years of age could attend.

However, all Cub Scouts and Webelos must have an adult in camp from their Pack. At least one adult must attend from a den or Pack for the boys to attend. All adults attending will be asked to help at various times.

Promotional CD

A promotional CD is available to show at Pack and Den meetings. It describes the complete Camp Oest program. To obtain a copy, please contact Camping Services at: 443-573-2503 or CampingServices@BaltimoreBSA.org
